Things I learned in North Carolina

In no particular order of importance:
  1. Some words that are one syllable everywhere else are two syllables in North Carolina. For instance, "in" is pronounced, "eeeeeee - nnn".
  2. There's such a thing as "atomic tofu", thanks to adding barbecue sauce to it. You can get it on pizzas.
  3. The first Krispy Kreme donut shop was in North Carolina.
  4. Zdeno Chara is freakin' huge, but Eric Staal is no slouch, either (yes, I went to a Hurricanes game).

More to come.

Fr. Toborowsky,

If you don't mind my asking, where in the Great State of North Carolina did you visit? If it was anywhere near the capital, perhaps next time you're in town, we could meet for lunch.

I hope you didn't miss out on sweet tea and real pork barbecue!

In Christ,
Brad Watkins
