"My most recent analysis ... reveals a striking trend: A generation of conservative young priests is on the rise in the U.S. Church." - Fr. Andrew Greeley, in the article, "Young Fogeys", from The Atlantic Magazine. January, 2004.

Saint Lydia
Today is the feast day of Saint "Lydia the Purpler", who was St. Paul's first convert in Philippi. She comes to us in Chapter 16 of Acts of the Apostles.
In honor of the Feast day, and because I could use the laugh, here's one from Groucho.
I'm sorry... that was just the most hysterical video in the world... and even funnier that it was in honor of St. Lydia's feast day... Your sense of humor is hysterical. The guy swinging on the lamp at 2:33 and then the ladies spinning around behind him at 2:55... I seriously thought I would die laughing.
I remembered the song and remembered Groucho singing it but never really heard the whole thing. What a rip! Shows you why these guys are classics that still remain funny. Talk about a fun song full of double entendres. You have to love the end..She once swept an admiral off of his feet, the ships on her hips made his heart skip a beat, and now the old boy's in command of the fleet, for he went and married Lydia.

Thanks for sharing a good laugh, Father.
