He is rector of the Blessed Sacrament Shrine in Raritan, NJ. If you search that on Google, I'm sure you'll get his contact information. He gave me the coat of arms as a gift for my 10th anniversary of ordination.Father Jay Toborowskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10959196612796771847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34483860.post-47144050840156075702013-01-17T11:09:54.651-05:002013-01-17T11:09:54.651-05:00I thought there would be an explanation about the ...I thought there would be an explanation about the coat of arms. Makes total sense. That would end the article on a positive note, instead of the negatives of complaining. Just my opinion.

As for the tassels, I serve as a Vicar Forane (a Dean), and as long as I do so, I am entitled to 2 on each side. When I'm no longer Dean, it properly goes back to 1 on each side.Father Jay Toborowskyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10959196612796771847noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34483860.post-11449993279217647532013-01-17T10:43:11.252-05:002013-01-17T10:43:11.252-05:00Dear Father - what a wonderful bulletin article! ...Dear Father - what a wonderful bulletin article! I like it so much that I am steeling it for my own bulletin (don't worry, I give you credit!). It was just too good not to "Borrow" for my own bulletin.

On a different note, I love your coat of arms. I'm currently working on one for myself. I'm curious though why you have two tassels instead of just one?Father Christensenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00294866489023253803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34483860.post-16024847225849609652013-01-12T17:22:18.462-05:002013-01-12T17:22:18.462-05:00It is wonderful to hear this being strictly observ...It is wonderful to hear this being strictly observed! Too many look the other way on this very important responsibility. Our Mother Church in Her wisdom has instructed this and even common sense dictates this. Too many look at baptism in a secular light--party, photos, etc. Those who deny this are responsible for that child's soul!ProudCatholichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05304386216887981893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34483860.post-78403443023758727582013-01-12T17:19:19.888-05:002013-01-12T17:19:19.888-05:00AMEN! I have linked this article to my own blog and offered some thoughts. I am often seized by the thought that many Catholic parents know fewer and fewer faithful Catholics, and their siblings or other relatives aren't necessarily faithful either; so how will they be able to find, much less select, eligible persons to be Godparents? There is much food for prayer and conversation here.Christopher M.
