There sure is a dynamic related to Mass times and it is noticable by aware members of the congregation too. This spans across parishes. I guess we have to say to each his own. For me, I like Sunday--either 9 or 12, simply because the dynamic is more slower-paced, fuller, richer. Moreover, what a wonderful piece you wrote here on forgiveness and the thought that goes into teaching people on the matter. This is a tough one because as I'm sure you heard, there are many people who feel too angry to forgive those who committed this horrible act. But it is something we are all called to do. If we cannot do it totally from the heart, at least make an act of forgiveness. I haven't mastered it myself but I am trying and praying for it each day. I can't believe how many people, tell me they can't, won't and shouldn't. They don't buy the forgiveness thing and are almost offended by the priest saying this, actually, not "almost" they have actually felt offended by the priest preaching this on 9/11 sheesh. If they don't believe the priest, they have to pick up the Bible and listen to their Savior himself. Nobody is saying it is easy; it seems against our nature but I for one want to be better than the people who committed this and do justice to our Lord by following his example, even if it takes me tons of practice, tons of prayer, and a long time to do it.ProudCatholichttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05304386216887981893noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-34483860.post-43486453010396950262011-09-12T10:06:20.253-04:002011-09-12T10:06:20.253-04:00I'm always at the 7:00 am Mass at my parish be...I'm always at the 7:00 am Mass at my parish because I like the fact that we don't sing - and I don't have to put up with all those ridiculous songs that seem to be so "ME" centered. Ugh!! The second reason I go to the 7:00 am Mass is because I like to start my day with Mass (I also go to the daily 6:45 am Mass). The last reason (not the first) is because the Sunday is all mine after Mass. God first though!!

Love the new blog design!Helenehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02458766108881869613noreply@blogger.com
